Yarrowood Upholstered Platform Headboard

Your bed is where you spend one-third of your life, so why shouldn't it be the most stylish and comfortable place in your entire home? When considering an addition to your bedroom or a change in its décor, one of the most dramatic ways to enhance the room and add flair is to affix a headboard to your bed.

Dramatic Style Made Easier
The option of a headboard instead of a complete bed set offers more versatility and a space-saving opportunity. Different styles offer different benefits, so it is important before you choose your new headboard to evaluate how you would like your headboard to work for you. If you enjoy spending your evenings relaxing in bed watching television, you may want to consider an upholstered headboard which will offer more comfort to your back while you relax and lounge. If you are looking for a classic to pass down through generations, then you may want to consider a metal or solid wood carved traditional headboard that will withstand years of use. If you're the type that has to be an arms length away from a good book at all times, then you may consider a bookshelf headboard. These, amongst the many other varieties we carry, are the quickest way to add your own touch of personality to your bedroom, without incurring the cost of a full bed set.

Mounting Options
Bookshelf HeadboardMost common bed frames come prepared to accept a headboard. Standard metal or Hollywood style frames generally have brackets or supports for mounting and holding the legs of a headboard. A popular new style of headboard is that which mounts to the wall and are often used in hotels to save on the costs involved with compatible bed frames. One of these options is less portable and involves mounting one cleat to the wall and the opposing cleat to your headboard, which when combined will hook together and use gravity to ensure safe hanging. There is also a less permanent wall mounting strategy for lighter upholstered headboards, which uses Velcro® along with small hooks and loops of fabric. When ordering a bed frame, the manufacturer should make clear which types of frames are compatible for attachment and, if not compatible, which additional accessories are needed for safe mounting.
